The Tavistock Society were once publicly horse-whipped in the town square of a delightful little settlement in what we believe to have been Hungary. As far as we could tell, our main crime appeared to be the consumption of Fanta on a Thursday, which has been strictly prohibited in Hungary since the Gyor Diktat of 1742. Curiously, the coins and trinkets we had forcibly liberated fro the local museum were also confiscated as we were tenderly eased into the stocks by Zoltan, the town jailer -who had ironically doubled as our tour guide.
